Background

Diplomatic relations between Zambia and Switzerland were established in 1967. Zambia opened its Permanent Mission in Geneva, Switzerland in 1992 and the Mission is accredited to the United Nations Offices and other International Organisations at Geneva, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria. The Mission Office at Geneva also serves as an Embassy and was formally accredited to the Confederation of Switzerland on 13th October 2015.

Mandate

The Office at Geneva is responsible for implementing Zambia’s Foreign Policy in Switzerland, and to the United Nations, its Specialized Agencies, as well as other international organizations headquartered and/or represented both at Geneva and Vienna.
