President Hichilema Receives Credentials from Envoys Accredited to Zambia

Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia received Letters of Credence from Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to the Republic of Zambia, at State House in Lusaka.

 

The envoys include His Excellency Mr. Albino Malungo, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola; Her Excellency Ms. Noralyn Jubaria Baja, Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines; Her Excellency Ms. Monica Cecilia Sitaru, Ambassador of the Republic of Romania; His Excellency Col. (Rtd) Fred Mwesigye, High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda; His Excellency Mr. Abbas Navazni, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Her Excellency Ms. Minoli Tehani Perera, High Commissioner of Australia, and Her Excellency Dr. Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay, High Commissioner of the Republic of  The Gambia.

 

During the ceremony, President Hichilema acknowledged the bilateral relations that Zambia shares with other countries based on common history, partnership and shared values.

 

The President stated that Zambia remained focused on engaging with partners through economic diplomacy, leveraging the countries’ comparative advantage to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

The President also underscored the importance of peace and security at national, regional, continental and global levels as a prerequisite for economic development.
